Philosophy
I possess a deep love for children and have a great respect for the innocence of the young mind, their innate inner strength, and their unrivaled determination to overcome and succeed. I have a very upbeat and electric personality that tends to draw children to me. I can easily connect with children and make them feel safe in their environment and at ease with their surroundings. It is for these reasons that I decided to use my education and personal experience of motherhood to open up a place that parents can feel good about leaving their children. I pride myself on being a positive role model by demonstrating appropriate, respectful, resourceful, and responsible ways to interact with individuals and problem solve. I see a great deal of value in allowing a child to be a child and learn and grow in an environment that best suits their needs. I feel that in today’s society children do not get enough time to just be children.
At Auntie Fanny’s Play School, they will have an opportunity to do just that, be a child. They will do what kids do best, learn through the wondrous adventure that is play. I believe in supporting the whole child, supporting positive social interactions, introducing them to the tools they need to problem solve and trouble shoot, and allowing their imaginations to take them on a journey. I have plenty of centers to spark those creative juices such as the science/discovery center, music center, and the crowd-pleasing art/crafts station. I have a special place for infants to explore and fine tune those fine motor skills with plenty of play mats, bounce saucers, and light up/ sound toys. I will feed them nutritious and delicious lunches and snacks and teach them the importance of a balanced healthy meal.
A child only gets one chance at being a child; it is our responsibility to nurture their growing minds and create a safe and friendly learning environment for them to blossom. I am dedicated to this duty and my hope is to make both the child and the parent feel like Auntie Fanny’s Play School is a home away from home.
Health & Safety
Your child's health and safety are very important to me especially during this crazy time that is upon us. In response to the COVID -19 pandemic I be will temperature screening upon arrival, sanitizing frequently through out the day, I ensure that proper hand washing is done often and that disposable hand drying towels are used.I will also have plenty of hand sanitizer around the play areas.
Each child will have their own cubby to store their personal items such as a blanket and pillow for nap time, I will ask parents to send their child with their own bags to store them in. I will also ask that parents send a drinking thermos/cup that will go home for sanitizing daily and be kept separate from others.
Being a daycare I can not force the children to not play with each other but I will try my best to encourage social distancing when possible.
